Ok, so the day has finally arrived woohoo!!! I wanted to do something very special for my moms retirement and 65th birthday. She's always talked about going to Alaska. So tonight we start our journey to set sail on our Alaska cruise friday :-)
I needed to get away myself now anyways to forget about all my medical problems and work issues etc. Luckily I had 95% of this paid for prior to the onslaught of issues that arose afterwards. can you say whew? Whew!!! LOL
So I'll be away for a bit and check up with ya'll when I get back. Unfortunately I have to immediately go back to work upon my touchdown back on canadian soil, but that's the price ya gotta pay if ya wanna play sometimes. It's been many years since my last vacation and even longer for mom.
I gotta tell ya, the look on my moms face is well worth any extra working time I need to do! She is so very excited, as am I!
So be good and I'll catch up with yas in a week or so. Luv n hugs to you all Kat

I saw them last night it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was started by Greg Grunberg(plays Matt on Heroes) all proceeds from sales of their cd(check amazon) and shows(minus some of the costs etc of course) go to their respective charities. Greg started it cuz of his youngest son having epilepsy. They put on a wicked show, high energy, lots of fun! If you get a chance to ever see them live...GO!!!!!!!!!! You won't regret it!!
Band consists of ... Greg-drums, vocals Adrian Pasdar(heroes, plays Nathan)-guitar, vocals Hugh Laurie(House, plays House)- piano, vocals Jesse Spencer(House, plays Dr.Robert Chase)- violin, vocals James Denton(desperate housewives, plays Mike Delfino)-guitar, vocals Bob Guiney(the bachelor)-vocals and last night they had a buddy drop by too... Scott Grimes(from ER, plays the red head Dr.Archie Morris) he played piano and sang
They all were awesome!!! plus they had extra drums player, bass, 3 gals backup vocals, and a horns section. Definitely check them out if you get the chance!! (p.s. I got a hug from Jesse, handshakes from Greg and Bob, and a high five from Scott) I was in tv heaven lol!

I want to add so much more to this box, let me make you happy!!! The winner will be very very pleased!!! hugs, Kat I could really use your help on this one. would really like to see it go for at least 100.00 minimum so all the mascots could go as a set. It would be a great birthday present to me if you would let me make the winner of this box very happy.
I'm sad my poor old Fluffy is not doing well anymore :-( It looks like I'll have to be putting her down sometime in the next couple days(maybe tomorrow) She's so thin, just bones now really. She bounced back for a bit cuz she was eating Peggys' kitten food for awhile lol, but now, well, it's just not going good anymore. she's like 19 or 20 yrs old now, she's had a great life, heck she wouldn't have even had a life if it hadn't been for mom finding her outside just a few days after she was born(neighbours cat was taken away with her kittens after neighbour had died, but Fluffy was missed, hiding outside) Anyhoo, just keep mom n I and Fluff in your thoughts over the next few days. I hate this part of life and making this decision is the hardest thing ever I swear. hugs, Kat
had to work last night and today, but cooked a bird saturday night/sunday morning(230am lol) to take to work. yummy lol
then mom called me at work last night, said she went next door to my aunts for supper...left the bird wrapped in foil on the stove...
yup...Lady Grace had her thanksgiving dinner too!! uuuggghhhhhh no leftovers now damnit! LOL!
Don't know if this is just a sick coincidence but....
2007 - Chinese year of the Chicken - Bird Flu Pandemic devastates parts of Asia
2008 - Chinese year of the Horse - Equine Influenza decimates Australian racing
2009 - Chinese year of the Pig - Swine Flu Pandemic kills hundreds of pigs around the globe.
Has any one else noticed this?
It gets worse........
Next year......
2010 - Chinese year of the Cock - what could possibly go wrong?
hi all just say a little good thought of healing for her please. I know it's "routine" surgery and I've gone thru it with all my animals over the years...but it's still surgery so I still get nervous a bit. we pick her back up on wednesday morning. so just keep her in your thoughts for a few days if ya don't mind. thanks all. hugs, Kat
