Things that you learn on your own, not from a book or taught at school.

As you get older you learn that life is not as simple  as it seems thru the eyes of the child you once were.

You learn life is not fair, that in fact, it can be a cold, dark and hateful place. That is, if you let it.

You learn that being the class president of your class, or being the class clown, don't mean nothing once your an adult and living in "the real world"

You begin to relize you are really not the know-it-all that you thought you was as a teenager.

You begin to hear yourself say the exact phrases you used to roll your eyes at. Like,  "I remember  back when I was a kid." or, "If I could turn back time" and the classic, "If I only knew then what I know now I'd have studied harder in school."

You learn that the only way to know who really cares for you is when your at your all time low.

The fakes will abandon you and run, while your true friends will try to help pick you back up.
